Joe Zilla

After attending three colleges, all across the state, got married and finished at Mount Marty with a degree in nursing. Worked several jobs and then went into the Army for 14 years, finished in the reserves. During the active duty times, lived in 8 states and in Central America. The Army sent me to school to learn how to pass gas, and that is what I do for a living. It is a good job and gives me the chance to travel around the state performing that job. We have 4 children and three grandchildren, the kids are in the area and we get to see frequently. The grandkids are also in Mitchell, so we really get to spoil them. I wish we had learned earlier, that grandkids are so much fun, would have skipped the middle and gone right for the grandkids. Joan and I learned to love to travel with all the moving in the Army so we try and take as many trips as possible. Nothing else exciting in our lives, no prison terms, no pictures of large fish, just family life.
